Hey there! Just another reminder that a little piece of me is in Toronto this week via Comics vs. Games! The exhibit is up at the Magic Pony through tomorrow, then it will be at the Toronto Comics Art Festival (TCAF) this weekend!
But the best part of all is that you don’t have to go to Canada to be able to own one of these special Comix Zone prints! You can buy one online here. Also be sure to check out all the other art, done by good friends of nomarios!
I got to draw Giratina’s Origin Forme for Jordan Rosenberg’s upcoming Ghost PokeZine. He is SUPER HARD TO DRAW WOW, but I like his spider leg wing things!
Q&A from pixelatedcowboy
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I've been looking forward to your webcomic since I read about it quite a while ago now, I'm so excited for you!! As for questions, is everyone in this world a bird? Or are there other creatures? :)

Thank you! I’m looking forward to that cool thing you’re working on right now too!
There are two races in Jailbird’s world. Bird people are the most common and share the world with their smaller, flighted ancestors! The others are Bugs. They both come in all the different shapes and sizes that Earth birds and bugs do, although bird people are a bit further removed appearance-wise. They’re almost just humans with feathers!
There are not many other creatures (the only wild animals being the few unevolved birds that are left), but there is a TON of plant life! Plants can move around and understand basic commands with the help of a little magic. It isn’t uncommon for them to be kept as pets or used for labor!
It’s getting close to Jailbird time!
For those of you not in the know (I’ve gotten a lot of new followers since I last posted about it! Hello!), Jailbird is a webcomic I’ve been working on for a while now. It focuses on Jailbird (far left), a recently escaped prisoner who has stumbled upon a strange magic cape. The others are Duck, a travelling scholar, and the Harpies: Owl, Hummingbird and Osprey.
I’m aiming to debut it sometime next month, but in the meantime, I want to get this Tumblr going with related stuff! I don’t want to get *too* spoliery, but I’ll even answer any questions you might have about the characters and their world!
Also, I was thinking about buying jailbir.de for the URL. I like it, but is that e at the end stupid
Geneva re-created the first character she ever made and told everyone else to do it so I did it too. This is Evil Kitty. He isn’t my FIRST FIRST, but the first one I remember enough about to be able to draw. He was based on a text signature I used on AOL message boards in 1998 (I was 13):

Spyro X Sparx Tondemo Tours VS. Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer VS. Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, 2000-01
FUN FACT: The main antagonist of this game, Ripto, was named after the way “Spyro” looks written in Japanese!
I made my first post to BOX VS. BOX today! I’ll be updating every Wednesday, while Diego updates every other weekday. Yay!
Bare Knuckle III vs. Streets of Rage 3, 1994
Kind of neat to see how the standard American genesis box changes design.
I Started Box Vs. Box, a tumblr for comparing box art. It could be Japanese vs. American designs, it could be old iterations of a series vs. a newer one, or maybe some sort of themed comparisons. Who knows. Ashley Davis is going to lend a hand here and there as well. Please excuse our appearance while we make renovations.
Box art has always been a super interesting subject to me, so I’m super happy to be helping with Box vs. Box! You should follow it if you like that sort of thing too!

Teaming up with Chris Eliopoulos to bring you some cute spring Cockatiels!
