This is my D&D character, Magnys! She is a Dragonborn Paladin of Bahamut who is great at protecting others but terrible at communicating with them.
I drew her partially because it’s the year of the dragon, and partially because Sam Bosma drew his D&D character. I subconsciously gave her an Arle-esque outfit/look, whoops

I’ve been drawing Jailbird for over half a decade now, trying to pinpoint exactly how I wanted her to look. And I finally got it over Christmas break! I’ve been sick this week, so just to make sure I was entirely happy with it, I doodled nothing but her while laid up in bed. I still like it! Yay!

Oh, there’s some Duck in there too, but he didn’t change much. I just needed to give him an easier mouth to draw from the front because BEAKS ARE HARD. I will probably do a page of expressions for him later!

My goal is to get the webcomic up in a month or two! Though I did lose a lot of time while travelling/sick and there’s still a lot of work to be done, so we’ll see… it’ll be this year for sure though! Woo!

I got to do this piece of fan art for game developer Robot Invader in December! A dozen prints were distributed to the team to celebrate their Android (and now iOS!) game, Wind-Up Knight, hitting a million downloads!

nomarios:

I drew an Alex Kidd that you can wear!
Meat Bun, one of the coolest gaming apparel companies out there, approached me a while back about making a shirt for their new Cute ‘Em Up line! And now you or that special someone who loves obscure game characters can own this NOMARIOS x Meat Bun creation. It’s available in both black and red!
I can’t go without mentioning the other amazing shirts in this line: a Paul Robertson rendition of Smash TV, a crossection of a less popular Dragon Quest enemy by Zac Gorman, a hot lady bathing in Porings by Kinuko, an adorable value meal by Mitch Loidolt, and a classic Mr. Needlemouse. They’re all here: http://meatbun.us/store/

Rebloggin’ in case you don’t follow nomarios and want some of this action!

Meat Bun’s new “Cute ‘em Up” t-shirt line, featuring shirts by artists including Mariel Cartwright, Zac Gorman, Paul Robertson, and Ashley Davis, each in multiple color schemes. I’d love to meet the person brave enough to rock that Slime shirt! I know the person brave enough to rock pretty much all the other ones (meeeee).

These shirts are being sold only through Giant Robot (update: for now, anyway.) MB’s Mike McWhertor said they’ll be on the Meat Bun site too, so you’ll be able to choose your web shop.

Find: Nintendo DS/3DS release dates, discounts, & more

See also: More shirts

Here’s something cool I got to do recently alongside some of the coolest people!!

shmeards asked: Hey, I remember you saying you have a standing desk setup. I'm considering one, myself, so I'm looking for ideas. Can you describe yours? How well has it worked for you? And did it cost a lot? Unrelated: thank you for nomarios, it is the greatest thing.

Hi there! So, this is my setup:

It is the cheapest standing desk ever. It is literally three tables stacked on top of one another. I would not recommend this method unless you’re really adaptable because there are a lot of problems with it (like the top table leg being in the way sometimes!)…

But I love it! I have lost a bit of weight that was put on just by sitting all day! I feel more energized to work! And it’s way better for my back. But you have to make sure to stretch and sit down from time to time. I have a bar stool, but it’s an uncomfortable stand-in for the drafting chair I’m going to invest in one of these days. You might also need something soft to stand on. Lots of people swear by yoga mats, but I haven’t tried one yet.

As for the desk itself, you can elevate your current one with sturdy boxes. Others use wall shelves, cupboards or storage racks! There are actual standing desks that you can buy, but they’re pretty expensive. Just measure the height you need your stuff to be at and you can go from there! On my desk, my Cintiq is about up to my chest and the top monitor is level with my face.

I’m nowhere near an expert on this, I’m still experimenting myself, but I hope that I am of some help to you! And thank you! :>
